B96.5 has long been a supporter of local Louisville, Kentucky artists and we want to continue our commitment to cultivate artists and music from da Ville so we’ve come up with a program to expose even more homegrown music. We will put your music on our website.

If you want to get your joint heard, hit us up here and send your song, your artwork, your bio information and links to where your song might be available for purchase. By doing this, you can get your jam in the hands of the buying public who can help support you financially while you pursue your art.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:
  • No demo tapes. Your song should be mixed, mastered and ready to play.
  • Your song must be clean and radio playable.
  • Make sure you own the music you create. Anyone found to have stolen music will be removed immediately.
  • Protect the music you create by copywriting it. Click here for info on how to do that.
  • Own your own publishing rights. Click here for ASCAP. Click here for BMI. Those are music publishing resources that can help you get paid.
  • Make sure you have artwork so that your joint stands out from the others we will feature on this website.
  • No acknowledgement of your submission is guaranteed. Just look for it on the website.
  • By sending us your music, you are granting B96.5 permission to post your song on the web or play it on the air if we should choose to. However, that does not guarantee airplay.
  • We will only accept music in .mp3 format. We cannot convert your song from any other format.

If you’ve sent us music before, please send it again. We’re starting from scratch so that we’re being fair to everyone. So bring your “A” game and your song will be on our website for 3 months. Please, one song per 3 month period.

You still sitting there? We’re looking for your joint right now. Click here to submit your music.
